Welcome to Department of Medicine and General Surgery- MBBS
The MBBS course comprises 5 years, followed by a compulsory rotatory internship of one year. The course follows a semester system, each semester consisting of six months. The MBBS course is divided into three phases., Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Phase, during which the following subjects are introduced:
-Pre-clinical: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Behavioural science
-Para-clinical: Microbiology and Immunology, Pharmacology, Pathology
-Clinical, Surgery and Allied, Medicine and Allied, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology
Entry Requirements
The minimum qualifications for candidates who intend to enrol on a Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery are as follows:
- High school Transcripts with a minimum of 75% and Passed Mathematics and Physics in National Examinations with a minimum of Grade C
- Good Command in English
- If failed to bring certificates Candidates are required to submit the National Roll no ID during the admission process and bring the full Diploma and Certificates when the Semester begins.
- Candidate has to bring 4 passport-sized photos when registering physically.
Award Requirements
To graduate, students must:
- Pass all the required courses in a total of 10 semesters Including the Final Professional Exam, with a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
- Pass the Internship Training with satisfactory
- Complete and clear their thesis project
